Iced Oat Milk Matcha with Cherry Preserves

Ingredients
Cherry Preserves / Jam (for coating) ¼ cup
Ice (to fill glass) As needed
Oat Milk 1 cup
Cherry Juice ¼ cup
Vanilla Syrup (or 1 tsp vanilla extract + sugar to taste) 2 tbsp
Cold Whisked Matcha (Made with Yūzen Matcha Powder) 50 g
Garnish — Fresh Cherries As needed
Cold Whisked Matcha (Per Portion)
Yūzen Matcha Powder 1 tsp (2 g)
Hot Water (mixed then cooled) ½ cup

To-Do List

For the cold whisked matcha (1 portion):

1. Sift 2g of matcha into your chawan

2. Add 10-15g of water to the chawan

3. Whisk and Incorporate water until a clumpless, smooth paste (koicha) is formed

4. Add Remaining water (Total Volume = 50g)

5. Whisk using the 60-20-10 method:

   * 60 sec Vigorous “M” or “W” motions, whisk touching the chawan

   * 20 sec slow W motions, whisk between the chawan and matcha surface

   * 10 sec gentle surface taps for microfoam

For the drink:

1. Coat cherry preserves on the bottom and sides of the glass

2. Fill glass with ice

3. Mix oat milk with cherry juice and vanilla syrup, pour in

4. Gently add cold whisked matcha on top for layering

5. Garnish with fresh cherries
